Oh BaBy!

I decided it was about time (aka…three months late) to officially post that Nick and I are pregnant! Hooray! We are SO excited! We had our 20 week appointment last week and the ultrasound went great! We informed our doctor that we don’t want to ‘find out,’ so our baby’s gender will be a surprise come December!

Other Happenings:

Nick and I gave his parents a family photo session for Christmas. Two of our favorites:

Over Memorial Day weekend, Bentley ran over a stick in our backyard. SOMEHOW he managed to puncture his abdominal cavity during the process and had to go in for emergency surgery! He had to wear this hood for two weeks until his drainage tubes and stitches were removed. We are SO glad he's back to his normal (aka disobedient), happy self!

We spent the 4th of July with my family in West Yellowstone. We had a wonderful trip and saw LOTS of wildlife (my mom, Sadie, Bent and I ran into a brown bear on a hike, two moose hung out on our property for several days AND Nick discovered a fox den)! I stole a couple of these from your blog Janica! I hope you don't mind :)

My hubby on his promotion at work! He works really hard and I am so proud of him!!

I'm Back :)

When I start to get messages like Megan's ('Bonnie, I'm sorry but it's time you update your blog. It's been two months now!') and I still have a shamrock flashing 'kiss me, I'm Irish' in May, it's time to publish a new post! This is especially true given that Meg only updates her blog once or so a month! I don't have too much to say given that two of the last two and a half months have been busy season, but here are the highlights and lowlights as of late:
* My Mom and Dad celebrated their 30th anniversary!
* We saw 'Dial M for Murder' at Pioneer...one of our favorites this season
* I turned 27...am I really that old?
* Bent decided to nibble, no chew, on our couch cushion
* I worked over 80 billable hours in one week
* I discovered fresh air again!
* We had a wonderful Easter - brunch with my family (including Grams) and dinner with Nick's
* We went to Nickel Mania with some friends and I realized how out of shape I was when I woke up sore the next day from playing the basketball game too many times in a row...how sad is that?
* Bent started training and we were told he needs to desensitize his senses :)
* We went to an event with Nicole and Rich at the Great Salt Lake Shorelands Preserve...If you're a bird fan, you'll have to check it out
* We saw Bravo Broadway at Abravanel...with songs from Wicked and Phantom (my faves)
* I started reading again (post busy season)
The Middle Place (wonderful) and a Thousand Splendid Suns (I agree Whit, a great book!)
* I finally weeded the front yard before our house was completely overtaken :)
(now I'm sore from weeding, so apparently I'm still out of shape!)

Well that's what's new with us...we definitely need to start having some summer BBQs, so let us know if you're interested!
Also congrats to Chels and Jake on the new addition to their family!!
And Yeah to having Brian back in town!!
